Annual Meeting Update

October 19, 2017

We look forward to seeing you at the upcoming NERRS Annual Meeting in Corpus Christi, Texas, from November 12–17! Some important changes to the program:

All field trips, except for the Coastal Bend Birding Tour, have been transformed into an opportunity to help the Mission-Aransas Reserve pick up the pieces after Hurricane Harvey. There will be many ways to help, including cleaning up the jetties and beach, repairing trails, sprucing up the Wetlands Education Center, and scrubbing the animal rehabilitation keep.

Special thanks to Xylem/YSI, the Harte Research Institute for Gulf of Mexico Studies, and the University of Texas Marine Science Institute for stepping up to be the first official sponsors of our Annual Meeting. Let’s give them a big NERRS welcome next month!

You can sign up to volunteer to help Mission-Aransas or check in on other agenda changes at the meeting web site.

This year, we’re setting aside a day to help our Texas friends repair and recover. Photo courtesy of the Mission-Aransas Reserve.
