NERRA is committed to creating partnerships to support the NERRS and it’s research, education, and stewardship programs. The following are just some of our partners that help ensure that our nation’s valuable estuarine and coastal ecosystems flourish.
NOAA's Estuarine Reserves Division and the NERRS
NERRA collaborates closely with its federal partner, NOAA's Estuarine Reserves Division, to improve our understanding, protection, and management of estuaries, and to support the research, education, and stewardship programs of the National Estuarine Research Reserve System.
YSI, Inc.
YSI products and systems are used throughout the world to measure, monitor, and provide high quality, reliable data to help make critical decisions to improve the quality of water. For several years, YSI has donated water quality monitoring equipment to NERRA, which has helped to support NERRA and has improved estuarine monitoring within the NERRS. With support from YSI, NERRA can continue to foster understanding and preservation of estuaries.
Coastal States Organization
Since 1970, the Coastal States Organization (CSO) has represented the interests of the Governors from the thirty-five coastal states on federal, legislative, administrative and policy issues relating to coastal, Great Lakes, and ocean management. NERRA collaborates with CSO on legislative and policy issues, including Coastal Zone Management Act reauthorization. NERRA and CSO are jointly located at the Hall of the States Building in Washington, DC. |
