Senate and House Appropriations Committee work has begun! The Senate Appropriations Committee passed its bill on July 13th, increasing the NERRS Operations budget by $800,000 and acknowledging the growth of the system. The proposed bill also contains language that allows for a 50% waiver of required state PAC funding match. The House Commerce Justice Senate Subcommittee passed its bill on July 14th, but details are still not available.

Congress will be on break the month of August through Labor Day, and we encourage you all to invite members of your congressional delegation to visit your Reserve when they return home. There is no greater way to spread the love for Reserves than experiencing them in person. Thanks for all you do.
